Daniel Russell is renowned for creating bold worlds richly layered with color, movement, character, and a whole lot of swagger. His energetic style has captivated some of the music industry’s top artists, including Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake, Normani, SZA, Jason Derulo, Offset, and Cardi B, as well as high-profile brands like Samsung and Pepsi.

Originally from Norfolk, VA, Daniel embarked on a filmmaking journey at a young age. After graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in film, he moved to Los Angeles and became the protégé of music video heavyweight Dave Meyers. Daniel quickly established a reputation for his highly stylized approach, impeccably detailed production design, and ability to bring out the best in top celebrity talent.

In 2019, The Fader described him as “the next big name in music videos.” While continuing to hone his craft in the music video world, Daniel is also eager to expand his commercial presence.
